My computer is finally able to get online! Sooo... Here's my first post.

Our first picture is of Rudy up on the 4th story enclose patio area, hittin' the weights. We're going to try and utilize the weights, but so far workouts have been few and far between..

The next picture is of the most amazing MaoMao...(this is a nickname she's gone by since she was a child) I had to take this picture because she was totally decked out like something from the 80's. It's been fun getting to know all the different house-mates, and even more fun cruisin' around town with them.

Here's a picture of my present roommate, Rudy. He was an officer when he was younger, so I caught a picture of him demonstrating his very professional tactics. Rudy's a real nice guy and it's been nice having another "Newb" around to adjust to everything with. It's funny though because, although he's about the same age as my dad, he's often more energetic and outgoing than anyone else in the house (excluding MaoMao ofcourse).

Living in a city definitely has its perks. There are all kinds of markets and shopping areas just within a bus ride or bike ride away. We've pretty much become the typical college students around town, eating dinner at 9 or 10ish and wandering the town a short while before going back to the house to watch movies into the night...This probably won't go on for much longer however, as we will all be full time in school once March roles around.

This final picture was taken inside an elevator at an apartment complex we were looking to possibly move in to. If you look at the guy with the goatee in the back, you might recognize that it's good ol' PTom. We crammed an elevator full of as many people as we could, expecting that if we went over some kind of weight limit we'd be notified by a beep or something. But no beep came, so we just crammed it full...well, come to find out, the elevator had no weight warning system apparently, and so with an exceeded weight limit, once we got to the bottom floor, instead of stopping, the elevator dropped 2 more feet to the ground...some of us thought the situation pretty hilarious, but others didn't find the prospect of being stuck in a crammed elevator in a Chinese apartment building such a fun thing...It only took about 10 minutes before some building manager people were able to pry the slightly jammed doors open, but there really was a thought running through the back of my mind like, "hmm, yeah, this is definitely the kind of stuff you read about in Newspapers...'foreigners trapped in elevator kill and eat Chinese to survive' "...good times.
